As a tester, my job is to find bugs before anyone else runs into them. At Audi Hungária I test manufacturing systems by hand and with Playwright, and in my free time I build websites and apps of my own.
I’m Bence Tátrai (Tátrai Bence József in Hungarian), I live in Győr and have been working at Audi Hungária since 2024. In my first year I kept the MES system behind production running as an application operations intern; since then I’ve been testing that same system as a Quality Analyst. In operations I saw up close how much trouble a bug causes on a live production line, so now I make sure those bugs never get that far.
I work in an international team alongside developers and 2nd level support. I automated part of our regression tests with Playwright, which saved the team a lot of manual work. I like using AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code), but I always review what they generate before it goes in.
Alongside work I’m studying Computer Engineering at Széchenyi István University, and there’s almost always a side project on the go: a website, a game or an experiment I can learn something new from.

Experience
I work at Audi Hungária, in an international automotive environment where the systems behind production (MES) have to run reliably under strict quality and IT regulations.
May 2025 – present
Quality Analyst (Intern)
Audi Hungária
I analyse user stories and specifications and work out what to test and how
I design, write and maintain manual and automated (Playwright) test cases, with AI assistance
I run functional, integration and regression tests on the MES system
I keep extending the automated test suite
I document defects and results in Jira and work closely with developers and 2nd level support
May 2024 – May 2025
Application Operations (Intern)
Audi Hungária
Ran the MES system in a live production environment
Handled tickets: investigated and reproduced defects and tracked down their causes
Worked with the development team on the fixes
Projects
These sites are all live, and I developed and tested each of them. Under “Scenario” I also described them the way a tester would.
University team project
Gradient (SzeCAT)
Built with my university team and already in use at Óbuda University. I worked on it as both developer and tester, finding and documenting bugs through functional testing.
Scenario
Given
a university class that tracked attendance on paper or cards
A loyalty card with no plastic and no extra app, for cafés, restaurants, salons and small shops. I developed and tested it, and configured the servers myself.
Scenario
Given
a café regular
When
they scan the QR code at the counter
Then
the loyalty card lands in their phone’s Wallet with one tap, no app needed
A landing page for a company that keeps cities cleaner with public bottle collection units, in Szombathely, Szeged and Kőszeg among others. I designed and built it, and tested it across browsers and devices.
Scenario
Given
a municipality that wants cleaner public spaces
When
it opens the site on a phone or a computer
Then
it understands how the system works within minutes and asks for a quote
A bilingual (German–English) website for a European trade fair stand builder. I built it in PHP for the client and tested it thoroughly before handover.
Scenario
Given
a company looking for a stand at a European trade fair
When
it browses the site in German or English
Then
it checks the references and requests a quote in a few clicks
The Danube Cup is an international university pitch competition that only accepts working projects with real results behind them. The four of us took the stage at the national round in Budapest after about a month of preparation. Out of 11 teams, including Corvinus and BME, we finished 3rd and went through to the international semi-final.
Side projects 7BenCloud, VocalSlayer, Werewolf: The Moonstruck Village and 4 more
Built in my free time, out of curiosity, often with the help of AI tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot). Each one taught me something new. Click any of them for details.
BenCloudBSc thesisMy thesis: a self-hosted media and file server, so photos and files don’t have to live on someone else’s servers.
The starting point was that family photos and personal files usually sit with Google or Microsoft, and films need several subscriptions. BenCloud brings it all into one place: it runs on a home server, works from any browser, and the data stays at home.
Upload, download and stream files and media, with folders and sharing
User and permission management
A media library that recognises films and series from their file names and fetches their details
Playback right in the browser and contextual search
Tested on three levels: Jest unit tests, API integration tests and Playwright E2E tests against the production Docker setup

VocalSlayerVST3 pluginA vocal mixing plugin for FL Studio: one-click AI setup for beginners, a full modular chain for pros.
One plugin for the whole vocal mix. In BASIC mode you sing for about 15 seconds and the AI sets cleanup, EQ, de-essing and compression, then builds a chain for the style you pick. PRO mode works like a DAW mixer strip: you can freely add, reorder and blend modules in parallel.
AI voice analysis and a chain built around your chosen style
Modules: denoise, de-esser, EQ, compressor, pitch correction, harmonies, delay, reverb, limiter and plenty more
Werewolf: The Moonstruck VillageParty gameA browser version of the Werewolf party game, so you don’t need a narrator or a deck of cards.
Everyone sees their role on their own phone, while the app narrates the night in the official order and works out who won at the end. All you need to join is a four-letter room code or an invite link.
3–18 players, 17 roles and recommended setups
The night runs in the official order with “fair timing”, so silence gives nothing away
Built-in chat for the discussion, voting and automatic results
Not a single external package, just a plain Node.js server

Alvásguru (Sleep Watcher)Desktop appA sleep monitoring app that records night-time movement and sounds, and keeps everything on your own computer.
A desktop app built with Electron. It watches the camera and microphone, and when it picks up motion or sound it also saves the half minute before it. Nothing ever goes online.
Motion detection by comparing frames, plus audio level monitoring
The 30 seconds before each event are included in the clip
Manual or scheduled monitoring (e.g. 22:00 to 08:00), with old recordings cleaned up automatically
Daily summary with an hourly chart, CSV export
Over 100 automated checks, with recording tested against a virtual camera

Guests get to know the place through photos, a description, the amenities and a map. The owner edits the content in a password-protected admin panel, no coding needed.
Responsive photo gallery, amenity icons, embedded Google Maps

Arbitrage botExperimentA bot that finds and trades price gaps between Polymarket and Limitless on their 5 and 15-minute crypto markets.
The bot watches both platforms’ order books in real time and, when it pays off after fees, bets “up” on one side and “down” on the other. Simple on paper, but running it live taught me a lot. The gap was often only there at the very top of the book, with nothing worth taking below it, and by the time the bot fired, the price had often moved. At first I sent both legs in parallel, but orders on Limitless rarely filled, so often only one side got executed. So I rewrote it to fire sequentially: the Limitless leg goes first, and only once it fills does the Polymarket leg follow.
Real-time order book monitoring over WebSocket
Recalculates the opportunity on every update using fees and the actual book depth, not just the best price
Sequential execution: the harder-to-fill Limitless leg first, then Polymarket
Automatic exit: if a position gets stuck, it recalculates whether to sell at a smaller loss or, if the price hasn’t dropped much, hold on
Beforehand I checked over hundreds of windows that both platforms settle from the same price source

Crypto trading botExperimentA trading bot for the OKX exchange that I used to test trend-following and intraday strategies.
A learning project: I implemented strategies from the literature and tried them on real market data. The biggest lessons were about methodology: I chose the settings on one period and checked them on a separate, untouched one, so they weren’t just tuned to the past.
Backtests with real fees, on separate training and validation periods
Monte Carlo simulation to estimate risk
